First Antique Auction of the Season: Creemore Ontario

April 16, 2012

We attended the season opener about half an hour south of Collingwood, Ontario, about 1.25 hours north of Toronto, on Saturday, April 14, 2012. The house was packed at the Creemore Legion Hall, complete with plane in the parking lot (see photo above).

Our big purchase of the day was a folk art sculpture by Canadian artist Viktor Tinkl, who was my instructor at the Ontario College of Art and Design in 1980. He is an amazing fellow!

Oh. And the 2 beautiful Cuban cigars were our reward for a job well done.
