Show Me Your Spoon Rest!

A spoon rest is pretty simple, but I’ve never had one. I’ve thought about it, that maybe I should get one. I’ve stacked and arranged spoons on other spoons to avoid a messy stove top. Pretty much, I’ve become a master at never owning one.

Until one day I realized, I had just the thing! Plastic coasters that I have no attachment to other than that my Aunt Maria gave them to me. I don’t have a memory of her ever using them or buying them. I don’t know why she gave them to me. They’re not my style or my colors (black, gold and purple) but they are pretty glamorous. Don’t you think? Hello 1982.

Either way, I highly recommend coasters as a spoon rest. If you forgot to wash it the night before, you have another one ready to use. Obviously, make sure it’s washable before you plunge into the coaster as a spoon rest abyss.
